Cullingworth History Group is appealing for information about several villagers who died in the First World War.

Members have been researching the lives of local men who died during the conflict, and whose names appear on the Cullingworth War Memorial.

Spokesman Diana Tottle said: “Most of this work has gone well, however some of the men’s stories have proved rather elusive.”

Members particularly want to hear about WM Harrison and A Whitaker, as well as J Pickwell and HW Rich.

The group can be contacted via the website cullingworth history.weebly.com or by writing to 12 Ainsdale Grove, Cullingworth BD13 5AU.
