The Lord Mayor of Bradford has offered his condolences following the death of a woman who plunged from a Keighley multi-story car park.

Coun Khadim Hussain, whose Keighley Central ward includes the Airedale shopping centre car park, today said his thoughts were with Lorna Clymo’s family.

Lorna, 42, of North Street, Haworth, was found in Hanover Street, beneath the Airedale shopping centre car park, at about 7.20am on Saturday.

She was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary with serious head injuries but died soon after arriving.

Coun Hussain said: “Any loss of life is a sad loss, and when it happens in this way it’s more traumatic.

“I would like to offer my sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family, and I hope they can cope with this tragedy.”
