Several hundred people gathered this afternoon to pay their respects at the funeral of tragic Haworth mum Lorna Clymo.

Keighley Shared Church was packed for the 12.45pm ceremony for the care worker, who died earlier this month after falling from a multi-story car park.

The church was so full that many of the well-wishers had to stand outside in the rain during the emotional ceremony.

Dozens of people had stood to greet the hearse bearing Lorna’s coffin as it arrived by the market cross outside the church.

The coffin was decorated with large white floral tributes in the words of “Mum” and “Aunty”.

Lorna, of North Street, Haworth, was found beneath the Airedale shopping centre car back in Keighley, early on the morning of February 1.

This week tributes to Lorna continued to be posted on the Facebook page of her partner Mark Feather.

A member of Lorna’s family, who didn’t do not wish to be named, last week told the Keighley News that Lorna had been a very special person with a radiant smile.

She said: “Lorna was popular and well liked by everyone who knew her. She will be sadly missed.”

Lorna, a former Greenhead Grammar School student, had worked for Elmar HomeCare and had a son Josh and siblings Tony and Sharon.

An inquest into Lorna’s death opened and adjourned last Wednesday, and will recommence at a date to be decided.
