A sponsored walk in tribute to a Braithwaite man who died after plunging from a block of flats raised more than £700, with some proceeds still to come in.
Dozens of people took part in the walk in memory of ‘Moz’ Tretton, covering a five-mile route from the Braithwaite estate to the spot where he died in Bingley.
There they placed flowers and balloons with heartfelt messages and released Chinese lanterns.
Angela Murray, who organised the tribute with her niece, Jodie, said this week: “We are really pleased with the amount raised, which was to support Moz’s family with the funeral costs. Thank you to everyone who turned out. We’re still raising funds and raffling a gift set donated by Sainsbury’s and some special candles made in Moz’s memory.”

Mr Tretton, 20 – who until recently had lived in North Dean Road, Braithwaite, before moving to Bingley, and had attended Guard House and Oakbank schools – was found on the ground outside the Adelaide House flats in Crosley Wood Road, Bingley, soon after 4am on January 18.
He had fallen from the sixth floor.
He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
