On Saturday, 9.30am-noon at St James’ Church Silsden there will be a Mothers’ Union coffee morning with a Valentine's Day theme. Various stalls will be running and all are welcome.
Silsden Camera Club – An excellent meeting was held in St James’ Church Hall on Wednesday, February 5. This was the second round of a two part competition with Keighley, the first part being held on October 15. The photographs were all of a very high quality on both evenings with Silsden coming first in the first round, and KDPA coming first in the second round. On both occasions the result was a very close run thing. Two of the photographs were given a score of 20, one was The Red Arrows by Anne Lindsay, and the other was Norman by Neil Bland. Thirty members of Silsden with Skipton Young Farmers enjoyed skating at Bradford ice rink. Next week’s meeting is hen judging at Edward Bootmans, Silsden.

The new Silsden Disco Zumba has proved to be so popular that two extra classes have been added. The group now runs on Monday at 8.30pm, Thursday at 6.15pm and 7.15pm all in the Town Hall. Just turn up on the evening wearing suitable clothes and carrying water bottles. There is a facebook page Silsden Disco Zumba if you need more information.

1st Silsden is a thriving group based at St James’ Church in Silsden and meets Friday evenings. The group currently consists of Beavers, age six to eight Cubs, age eight to ten, and Scouts, age ten to 14, each holding separate meetings alongside activity days and camps throughout the year.
