Rotarians are serving up ‘Dinner with Dewhirst’ for charity.

The Haworth & Worth Valley club is staging a two-course meal, with a talk from Keighley historian Ian Dewhirst.

Proceeds from the March 29 event, at Laycock Village Hall, will go to the Rotary Foundation Charity. Mr Dewhirst, who compiles the Memory Lane column in the Keighley News, will speak on ‘Kruger’s Coffins and the Great Humming Beetle: Some Byways of Local History’. The 7.30pm event includes a bar. Tickets are available – priced £10 – from Gordon Green on (01535) 646232.
