Keighley man accused of illegal use of information

A Keighley man who was an employee of Skipton-based company Homeloan Management is to stand trial at Bradford Crown Court on May 12 charged with alleged illegal use of information.

Farid Rafiq, 36, of View Road, pleaded not guilty on Friday to unlawfully obtaining the personal data of clients at the mortgage company, between July 25, 2011, and July 30, 2011.

He was sent to the crown court by Skipton magistrates for the alleged offence under the Data Protection Act. Rafiq’s unconditional bail was extended to the trial date.
