A Keighley opticians is backing a campaign encouraging people to get an eye test as part of a health ‘spring clean’.
Airedale Opticians, which also has a branch in Cross Hills, said a recent survey showed a quarter of people had not been for a sight test for more than two years.
“If the New Year didn’t make you sit back and think about your health, then we hope encouraging you to get your eyes tested as part of your annual spring clean will,” said spokesman Mohammed Hafejee.
“Many people put their eye health at risk by falling into the habit of visiting an optician only when encountering problems with their sight.”
He added anyone who has had an eye test should request a copy of their eye record as well as their prescription.
