Keighley restaurant delighted with five star hygiene upgrade

Keighley News: Keighley restaurant delighted with five star hygiene upgrade Keighley restaurant delighted with five star hygiene upgrade

A Keighley restaurant is celebrating after being awarded a five-star food hygiene rating.

Shimla Spice, in South Street, joins numerous other eating places across the town which now have the top score from the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

“We are absolutely delighted to get the five stars,” said branch manager Faisal Hussain.

“We do a lot of in-house training and have our own inspector to look after the hygiene.

“Both our Keighley and Shipley restaurants now have the maximum rating.”

Shimla Spice has won an array of national and regional awards, including Keighley News Restaurant of the Year twice.

It was also among the winners in the inaugural Keighley News-backed Keighley Business Awards last year.

Probably because the clued up management decided to make a story out of it rather than just pin it on the wall.

Speaking of lazy journalism - have you noticed that now for any incident involving the police the KN simply paste in a stock photo of a police sign?

Might be hygienic, but the currys at Shimla are still crap. Order what you want, but they all taste the same.
