Haworth could feature in a landmark exhibition to mark St George’s Day.
The Bronte village has been shortlisted in the culture and entertainment category of a national tourist board campaign.
Now Haworth – nominated for the dramatic landscape that inspired Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights – is among 60 submissions from across the country being put to the public vote.
The best will go on show at London’s Southbank from April 23 to 30.
“Haworth is a great tourist destination and I’m really pleased the nation seems to agree,” said Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council’s executive member for employment, skills and culture.
“I would encourage everybody who values Haworth to go on the site and vote.”
