Over-50s in Bracken Bank are being invited to a free tea party at the estate’s Sue Belcher Community Centre.
There will be a tea dance, live entertainment, information stalls and a light lunch during the May 9 event between noon and 3pm.
Sue Belcher community worker Pip Gibson said that although the tea party was aimed mostly at over-50s living in Bracken Bank, it was also open to other people. She said: “The aim is to consult with over-50s and find out what they would like to become involved in and how they can support those activities in their local area.We intend to have a right good knees up too!”
