South Craven Walking 4 Health will run its popular summer evening walks, starting on Wednesday.

Organisers say the walks –now in their third year – will be better than ever.

The walks will last about 90 minutes and are designed primarily for working people who might be in sedentary jobs or want a break from the stresses of work and whose health would benefit from a bit of exercise in the company of a friendly group.

South Craven Walking 4 Health is one of more than 600 schemes in England. All the walks are led by trained volunteer leaders and cater for a wide range of abilities.

The first walk will leave St Peters’ Church Hall, Cross Hills at 6.30pm and strolls will then be held weekly.
