Gruelling challenge is hailed a success

A gruelling annual challenge organised by Keighley Scout Service Network has been hailed a success.

More than 280 entrants completed the Fellsman, navigating their way around a 61-plus-mile course in the Yorkshire Dales.

Joint winners, in a time of ten hours 51 minutes, were Adam Perry and Kim Collison. First woman home was Carol Morgan in 14 hours 29 minutes.

Trophies across all categories were won for the first time in many years.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to all those involved in any way in supporting the event,” said a spokesman.

Next year’s Fellsman, the 53rd, is provisionally scheduled for April 25 and 26.
