Keighley band You Had Me At Hello! proved hot stuff as they launched their album in their hometown.
The musicians were three songs into their set when the fire alarm went off, prompting evacuation of the venue, Central Hall.
Member Jason Dustan said: “Hundreds of people congregated on Alice Street until the fire brigade arrived.
“The atmosphere on the street was electric, and within 30 minutes the show was back on and we stormed through our 18-song set.”
You Had Me At Hello! were back in Keighley to launch new album Spirals with a show also featuring local bands Ashestoangels and Redemption.
The band was due to head off the next day to London for the southern launch of the album at the Water Rats.
Two of the album’s tracks were played recently on BBC Introducing in advance of the launch.
You Had Me At Hello! consist of singer-guitarist Nathan Gill, guitarist and King vocalist Adam Doveston, bassist and backing vocalist Jason Doveston and drummer Robbie Hutchinson.
They toured the USA in spring 2012, then competed for a place at the Bingley Music Live Festival.
