BETHANY Whitaker had a bridal train with a difference when she married Rob Green.

The pair hosted their reception last Saturday (July 26) on a steam train running along the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

Family and close friends ate their wedding meal in sumptuous Pullman coaches pulled by a locomotive titled ‘Wedding Belle’.

The steam train later travelled the line collecting more guests for an evening party on the historic platform at Keighley station.

Bethany and Rob, both 21, chose the unusual setting because they are both heavily involved with the heritage railway.

Rob has been a volunteer for 11 years, serves on the railway’s Preservation Society and recently became the organisation’s Stations Director.

Bethany spent several years working in the Oxenhope station buffet and her siblings Connie and Elliott continue to work on the railway.

Many of the guests at the wedding were fellow volunteers on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

Bethany, who works at Jacques Vert Group, and Rob, a retail supervisor with Northern Rail at Keighley railway station, have a one-year-old daughter Evelyn who was one of the bridesmaids last Saturday.

The couple married at Christ Church, Oakworth,

Following the evening party the Wedding Belle took guests back to stations along the Worth Valley.
