MUSIC for all tastes drew enthusiastic crowds to Keighley's Cliffe Castle Park this weekend for the annual Aire Do festival.

Organisers say visitors to the extravaganza were slightly down on last year, due largely to the weather.

But despite the lower turnout, the team was pleased with how things went.

"I think the rain did deter some people from coming along – especially yesterday when a flash flood nearly washed out a marquee – but we had a good lively crowd and the bands were fantastic," said Coun Tony Wright, chairman of Keighley Town Council's events and leisure committee.

The town council heads up the organising of the festival, but several organisations are involved including Beat Herder, the Musicians Centre and Jam on Top.

Many acts performed, including The Freestylers, Goldie Lookin’ Chain and K-Klass Live yesterday, and The Dirty Gentlemen, New2, Slyde and Alley Gator today.

And this year there were more fringe events, including performances on the cafe terrace.

Other attractions included stalls, a funfair, a giant DJ 'unicorn' machine, a bar and local produce.
