KEIGHLEY people are being urged to explore the varied attractions of Cliffe Castle Park using a new walks guide.

The leaflet, which offers rambles suitable for all ages, was launched this month with three guided walks in and around the park.

The walks were led by Dan Brennan from Keighley Healthy Living, which has helped members of Cliffe Castle Park Conservation Group produce the leaflet.

Mr Brennan said the intention of the leaflet that was to encourage healthy exercise and appreciation of the park by local people.

He said: “As well as a map of the park and information about its history and what there is to see, there are three walking routes.

“On the slopes of the Aire Valley, the park has something for every age of interest.

“There is an exciting play area, plenty of space for ballgames, quiet spots and woodland, seating with grand views, and stunning flowerbeds and glasshouses.”

The printing of the leaflet was funded by the Connecting Communities Fund, part of Keighley Area Committee’s Community Chest.

The leaflet is available from Keighley Healthy Living in Scott Street, Cliffe Castle Museum, the park’s cafe, Keighley Library and Keighley Civic Centre.
