A 17-YEAR-OLD pedestrian has been injured following a collision with a car in Keighley town centre this afternoon.
The girl was near railings in East Parade, close to the Sainsbury's petrol station, when the accident occurred.
She suffered a fractured right leg and was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.
Police sealed off the busy street while emergency services dealt with the incident, which happened shortly after 2pm.
Firefighters were first on the scene, with crews from Keighley and Bingley attending.
"We performed casualty care until paramedics arrived," said a spokesman for Keighley fire service.
"We helped strap-up the casualty's leg and get her on to a board to be taken into an ambulance."
Crew members then made safe the car, an Audi.
