THE former site of Oxenhope's public toilets will be turned into a garden if a new planning application is successful.
The change of use proposals have been submitted to Bradford Council planners for the land next to 14 Lowertown, near the junction with Mallard View.
A statement accompanying the application explains that there are no plans to construct any buildings on the plot, which measures 9.2 metres by 7.5 metres. The statement adds: "The area will be professionally landscaped with a small lawn, flower borders, patio, a small pathway and raised beds for vegetables."
The toilet block which had previously occupied this site was sold off by Bradford Council to a private buyer in 2011 and demolished.
Oxenhope’s parish councillors had previously lobbied unsuccessfully for the disused toilet block to be re-opened.
