A DRIVER was trapped after his car flipped onto its roof in an accident last night.
Two fire engines from Keighley and Haworth responded to the incident in Halifax Road at 10.30pm.
Keighley crew commander David Knox said the Honda car had turned over after crashing into a security barrier outside the Colin Appleyard Suzuki dealership.
He said: "We stabilised the car, cut one of the doors off, extricated the male casualty on a spinal board and he was then taken to hospital. It took about 15 minutes to get him out."
He added that the man had been the only occupant of the vehicle, and described his injuries as "non-life threatening".
"Because of the nature of the impact and the debris on the road we closed the road off," he said.
"The police also attended and the road was still closed when we left at 11.30pm."
