A WORTH Valley youth club is reaching a "crisis point" due to a lack of available adults to supervise its sessions.
Oxenhope Parish councillor Penny Cusdin said the village's club was still popular with youngsters but was being let down at short notice on occasions when youth workers were unavailable to oversee its activities.
Commenting during last week's meeting of Oxenhope Parish Council, she said: "It was agreed that for the rest of the financial year the Youth Service would provide two workers for each session.
"But it's not happening as planned, as we're getting sent one youth worker instead of two. We are getting to a bit of a crisis point.
"We are struggling on with our three volunteers and whatever workers can be sent to us.
"The Youth Service are doing the best they can, but they have lost a lot of their casual youth workers.
"And funding always mainly seems to be offered for particular projects rather than ongoing running costs."
