THE CRAVEN Trust has awarded grants to community groups in Keighley, Woodhouse and Haworth.
The groups are among eight across the charity’s area that are sharing a total of £9,000.
Hainworth Wood Community Centre, on Woodhouse Road, has received £500 to buy a new computer for a project entitled Hainworth Community Poems and Story Book.
The project will involve people of various ages in a bid to break down barriers between generations.
Haw-Earth, whose volunteers turn unwanted land in Haworth into community spaces, has also received £500.
The group will buy materials such as wood and gravel to improve access to one of its sites, and hire a skip to remove rubbish.
The Keighley-based Soaring Eagle Karate club will receive £200, while the Group-Craft Tea Corner will receive £120.
Visit craventrust.org.uk for details of how to apply for a grant. The next closing date is December 11.
