KEIGHLEY people, families, community groups, schools and businesses are being issued with an ‘allotment challenge’.

They are being asked to join existing volunteers on Saturday (March 7) in helping create a community allotment in Braithwaite.

People all ages will be able to dig out a fire pit, create a cooking area, plant herbs and create individual growing vessels.

Activities will also include creating goblins and fairies in the Fairy Glade, making a willow bird hide, and being bird, bat and hedgehog boxes.

The session will run from 10am till 2pm at the allotment off North Dean Road, near the Greenfield Court car park.

Free food will be available.
