Success of neighbourhood resolution panels in Keighley praised by councillors
KEIGHLEY councillors have highlighted the success of Neighbourhood’s Resolution Panels operating in the town of the past four years.
The panels were set up across Bradford district to bring victims, offenders and criminal justice professionals together to agree how to deal with incidents of low-level crime and disorder.
Locally the project focused on thefts under £100, criminal damage under £300, neighbourhood disputes and some anti-social behaviour.
In the district the project has a 90 per cent satisfaction rate amongst victims, and 95 per cent of the criminals going through the process have not reoffended.
Keighley Area Committee congratulated those involved in panels in Keighley for their achievements.
