AN APPEAL has been lodged against Bradford Council's refusal of plans for a beer garden.
Planners rejected the application for The George, in Station Road, Cullingworth, claiming it would have a detrimental impact on the occupants of a neighbouring house.
"The use of the land as a beer garden would give rise to noise and general disturbance for a prolonged period through the day and into the evening," said a council spokesman.
"Proposed mitigation measures would not sufficiently overcome these problems."

An appeal has also been submitted against the refusal of plans for a rural worker's dwelling at Delph Farm, Coates Lane, Silsden (application number 14/04109/FUL).
And the council's decision to turn down proposals for a livestock building, new access and farm track on land north of Back Shaw Lane, Hainworth Shaw, Keighley, is being contested. The application number is 14/05220/FUL.
All three appeals are being dealt with on the basis of written representations.
