CADS are back on stage in Cullingworth this month!
The village’s long-established theatre group was revived in late summer following an emergency annual general meeting and the election of the new chairman.
With returning member Paul Hall at the helm the CADS are busy rehearsing their comeback show, entitled October Showcase.
The presentation will be in Cullingworth Village Hall, Station Road, on October 30 at 7pm.
The variety show will feature music and comedy sketches by members ranging in age from seven to 70-plus.
There will be a guest performance by rising talent VanThere will be a guest performance by rising talent Vanessa Maria, a Bradford-based guitar-playing singer-songwriter who recently featured on BBC Radio1 Xtra.
CADS hope for the show will be followed by activities including performance and acting workshops by local professional actors, pantomimes, plays, cabarets and musicals.
Long standing member June Robinson said members were pleased Paul had rejoined as chairman.
She added: “Hopefully his different approach and enthusiasm will re-energise our group.”
Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for under 16s, including even includes pie and pea supper. There is a bar, raffles, and a chance to dance.
