A CHRISTMAS-themed crafty walk is on offer for people visiting Cliffe Castle next month.

A fun workshop will allow people to make Christmas decorations from natural materials on December 5.

The group will take a short stroll through Cliffe Castle Park to collect items such as sticks, holly and ivy before returning to the warmth of the museum.

They will then to turn the materials into beautiful wreaths, tree and table decorations.

The free activity, open to adults and children aged over eight, is part of the Go:Walking programme which is encouraging people from Keighley Central ward to walk more for health and wellbeing.

Annie Berrington from Go:Walking partner Get Out More: “The walks we have done so far have combined walking with fun activities like campfire cooking and outdoor games as a way of showing people that walking can be fun and sociable.”

“The Christmas Craft walk will be a gentle stroll with a chance to learn a new skill and take home some beautiful decorations at the end”

Places should be booked in advance for the walk and workshop, by calling Annie Berrington on 07974 935105 or visiting gowalkingchristmascraft.eventbrite.co.uk.

The activity is suitable for adults and children over 8 years.
