KEIGHLEY Amateurs are looking for extra rehearsal pianists to help with rehearsals for pantomimes and musicals.

Chairman Louise Barton said there was a regular need for pianists to work alongside each show’s musical director and cast.

She said: “Whilst we call on a range of musicians during each show it would be particularly nice to have accompanists who work closely with the society.

“They could possibly becoming members and enjoy all the social benefits of being part of an active and successful society.”

The music ranges from the type of songs used in pantomimes through to the more complex styles found in some musicals.

Keighley Amateurs each year rehearse their January/February pantomime from November and there October musical from June. The rehearsal rooms are in central Keighley.

Keighley Amateurs are currently working on the panto Dick Whittington And His Cat, which will be followed by the musical Grease.
