FIRE crews have been dealing with a suspicious fire at a disused church.
Crews from two fire stations tackled a fire on the ground floor of the former St Paul's Church in Denholme.
It is believed that someone set fire to rubbish after entering the church through a back door.
A fire service spokesman said the fire was reported at 2.48pm today.
Fire crews from Fairweather Green and Illingworth attended the incident.
The spokesman said around ten per cent of the ground floor had been on fire.
He said there were no reports of anyone inside the building. West Yorkshire Police officers are at the scene at the request of the fire service.
