THREE members of Incommunities' management team took the plunge to raise cash for charity.

The Keighley social housing group trio – including chief executive Geraldine Howley – completed the Great North Swim, at Lake Windermere.

Together they raised nearly £1,200 in online donations alone for the Prince's Trust, Mrs Howley's nominated charity during her year as president of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

She was joined for the mile-long swim by colleagues Adrienne Reid and Greg Robinson.

Adrienne has also swum the equivalent length of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at local pools over five months to boost funds.

Mrs Howley said: "Doing the Windermere swim was tough going but thanks to all the training that we put in, we were able to complete our challenge in good times.

"The day proved a fabulous finale to my fundraising year.

"It was great to be joined by Greg and Adrienne. It proved an extra special day for Adrienne, who has shown amazing determination to swim 127 miles since the start of the year.

"A big thank-you goes to colleagues, family, friends and housing partners who have supported our swim and our fantastic fundraising events throughout the year."
