GLUSBURN Primary School pupils travelled to Asheville College in Harrogate to take part in the Brownlee Mini Triathlon.
The 28 year-six children completed an 80-metre swim, an 800-metre cycle ride and a 400-metre run.
The event was a partnership between the Triathlon Trust and the Brownlee Trust with the aim of introducing schoolchildren aged eight to 14 to the sport of triathlon in a safe and fun environment.
The activity was non-competitive and focused on participation.
Year six pupil Charlie Crook said: "It was an amazing and fun experience!"
The Brownlee Trust is organised by Olympic and Commonwealth Champion brothers Alistair and Jonny Brownlee as part of their triathlon work.
They also organise a triathlon at Harewood House, which has been described by competitors as one of the best and most scenic triathlon courses.
The Brownlees regularly train on the route, and the Tour de France peloton rode the same roads.
