A PUB fundraising event will be music to the ears of Manorlands.

The Acorn at Eldwick is staging its annual music festival on July 30 in aid of the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

Numerous bands will perform throughout the day and there will be a host of other attractions.

A barbecue and outdoor bar will serve locally-sourced food and drink, including a selection of cask ales.

Children's entertainment will include face painting and a bouncy castle and there will be outdoor games and a raffle.

Activities will start at noon.

"Admission to the event is free but any donations towards the charity will be greatly appreciated," said a pub spokesman.

"The day aims to bring the community together whilst raising money for an excellent cause.

"It promises to be a brilliant day out for all the family and we hope to beat the impressive sums raised in previous years."

The line-up of bands and other event updates will be posted at facebook.com/acorneldwick/.
