A DIRECTOR of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West – which has the Vision housing scheme at Braithwaite – has cycled the length of Britain to raise money for charity.
Dave Hudson pedal-powered his way from Land's End to John O'Groats, coining-in £1,500 for St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds.
He averaged 111 miles a day, over nine days.
"After a gruelling training schedule I was so pleased to complete the journey and I would like to thank all those who supported me," said Mr Hudson, 49.
"The ride was the biggest challenge of my life."
Last year he was among a group of cyclists which rode 300 miles from London to Paris, also for charity.
Laura Ferris, corporate fundraiser at St Gemma's, said: "Barratt Developments Yorkshire West has been a great supporter of the hospice over the last nine years and we're very grateful to Dave for putting himself in the saddle to raise a fantastic sum."
