A SUPPORTER of Cross Roads-based Yorkshire Cat Rescue (YCR) has produced two calendars to raise desperately-needed funds for the charity.

Photos of felines found homes by the centre in the past year are packed into the pages, together with the story of each one.

"It is a wonderful charity – compassionate, professional and brilliantly organised in its rescue and rehoming of so many cats and kittens – but its costs are continually rising," said Mrs Pam Laking, who has created the calendars.

"The understanding and care extends to people who are often going through very difficult periods in their lives, necessitating the rehoming of their beloved pets.

"In the last two months, the charity has broken its own records – it found new loving homes for 100 cats and kittens in October and for an amazing 118 last month."

An A4 booklet calendar retails at £4.95, or a slimmer version at £3.25.

All profits go to the charity.

Copies can be obtained from the YCR centre, its shops in Keighley and Halifax, from eBay or by calling 01535 647184.
