A BIG FAT New Year quiz was attended by over 100 people at Glusburn Institute.
Quizzers enjoyed several rounds led by quizmaster David Watkiss while eating a light two-course supper.
The event was organised as a fundraiser for both Glusburn Institute’s over-60s luncheon club and the Fallfest festival, which takes place from September 22 to 24.
The organisers were delighted with the response and hope to improve the event next time round.
They wanted to thank Glusburn Institute trustees for their support, as well as volunteers and quizzers. The event raised £540.
Institute management, along with Glusburn Youth Theatre, have over the past year invested money into improving the building’s main auditorium.
This has included new front-of-house stage lights, LED lighting technology, stage curtains and projection equipment.
