CULLINGWORTH councillors are in favour of internal alterations to a grade 2 listed building at The Nook in Hallowes Park Road.

The Village Council recommended approval so long as the integrity of the building was protected, in line with listed building rules.

The retrospective application covered a door opening between the kitchen and utility room, a soil pipe at the side, a new staircase, and the creation of a bedroom in the roof space.

Councillors heard that the work involved demolishing some structural walls, and providing a new floor supported from existing roof trusses. Roof windows were needed for light and ventilation.
