Firefighters from Skipton have attended a rubbish fire in Cononley that could be seen for some distance.
Drivers on the Skipton to Cross Hills road could see the flames, which were rising to a fairly significant height.
The fire was close to the railway line, on the Skipton side of the level crossing.
North Yorkshire Fire Service says the fire, which measured 15sq metres, was put out with one hose reel.
The service said it was a result of controlled burning which was left unattended.
