CONCERNS about winter gritting and gully cleaning in the centre of Wilsden were raised at the latest parish council meeting.
One Wilsden councillor claimed gritting did not take place on the pavements along Main Street, Tweedy Street leading to the primary school, and Royd Street leading to the health centre.
She said the areas were hazardous during the winter months for residents, particularly the elderly and parents with pushchairs.
The council decided to contact Bradford Council about the problem, and publish a link to Bradford’s winter gritting map on the parish council website.
A resident expressed concerns about drainage problems along Main Street and Wilsden Hill, claiming the gullies were not cleaned by Bradford Council.
Parish councillor said the gullies had been cleaned in Main Street the previous week. The resident was advised to report concerns about side roads to Bradford Council using its website.
