A KEIGHLEY Oxfam volunteer is running the London Marathon to raise money for the charity.
Will Jeeps aims to coin-in £2,000 through the April 23 event, his first-ever marathon.
"I'm gradually building-up my mileage in training – I completed 18 miles the other day," said Will, 20, from Wilsden, a civil engineering student at Sheffield University.
"I am also part of the uni triathlon club, which helps keep me fairly fit, although the running element isn't huge.
"Running 26.2 miles around London may seem like a tough challenge, but that's nothing compared to what some people across the world face every day. Oxfam is a great cause to support."
Will took-up running little over a year ago.
He participated in the Keighley BigK 10k in aid of Manorlands last March and in the Yorkshire Half Marathon the following month.
He's set-up an online fundraising page, at justgiving.com/fundraising/Will-Jeeps1, in a bid to help reach his target.
And with additional sponsorship, he has so far raised about £1,600.
Will – a former pupil of Ermysted's Grammar School, Skipton – helps out at the Keighley Oxfam shop whenever he's back home from university.
"It's something I love doing," he said.
