KEIGHLEY couple Gareth and Alexis Wilson are our 'Perfect Partners'.

They won a Keighley News competition, staged in conjunction with the Airedale Shopping Centre and Khalid's Desi, to reward that special person in someone's life.

The couple were nominated by Gareth's 80-year-old grandmother, Enid Wilson.

"They are such caring people," said Enid, from Silsden.

"Both of them work, have four children to look after and lead such busy lives, yet they they still find time to help me.

"They do so much for me – taking me shopping, helping around the house, all kinds of things.

"I just felt they deserved some recognition.

"I'm so pleased they won."

Gareth, 39, who works in telesales at Pickard Hardware in Keighley, said the nomination had come as a complete surprise.

"It was a very pleasant surprise," said Gareth, who also helps run Silsden AFC Ladies football team.

"We're both very busy but will always find time to help my gran."

He and Alexis, 36, a teaching assistant at Merlin Top Primary School in Keighley, have two sons and two daughters – the eldest 15 and the youngest eight.

Their superb package of prizes included a bouquet from The Flower Boutique, a Marks & Spencer voucher, male and female fragrances from The Fragrance Shop and three months' free parking at the Airedale Shopping Centre.

And Khalid’s Desi, in Low Mill Lane, Keighley, provided a meal for two from its buffet on Valentine’s night itself.
