AN EVENING Of Burlesque is returning to the Theatre Royal in Wakefield on March 3.

Organisers have put together a “dazzling” new production as the acts set out on their seventh year on tour.

They promise a naughty, hilarious and wicked evening of live entertainment from some of the world’s most talented and unique burlesque stars alongside outrageous speciality artists.

“Make sure you leave your inhibitions at the door,” is the warning to those attending the over-18s event.

A spokesman added: “With fabulous costumes, An Evening Of Burlesque revives this classic variety art form into the 21st century with a glamorous new show.

“Featuring some of your favourite stars from last year alongside the most outrageous and extraordinary new talent we could find, naughty has never been so nice.”

The show will be hosted by cabaret singer Ivy Paige, with performers like the L’Sheila Sisters who are billed as “technically tantalising, professionally provocative”.

The spokesman added: “The perfect blend, where demure meets darkness and seduction meets sass, these twisted sisters are burlesque’s most exciting twin double act.

“Additionally there will be the Folly Mixtures, a burlesque quartet choreographed to thrill, featuring a tasty assortment of routines with themes drawn from around the world.

“Lastly there will be Isabella Bliss coming complete with her own giant martini glass.”
