A CLEAN-UP is being staged at Ingrow.

The March 4 event, in the Cromer Road area, is part of the national Great British Spring Clean.

The clear-up – from 10.30am to noon – follows a similar event in the same neighbourhood last November, when about 15 residents tackled rubbish and overgrown vegetation in snickets.

It was supported by Bradford Council's neighbourhood service and followed several walkabouts by staff and councillors.

Gloves, bags, litter-pickers and other equipment will be provided to volunteers on March 4, plus butchers C&L Herd are supplying free hot snacks afterwards.

As part of the initiative, council road and pavement sweepers will be operating in the area on Wednesday, March 8, when residents may be asked to move their vehicles for a short time.
