Historic railway icon the Flying Scotsman will make a highly-anticipated appearance on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (K&WVR) tomorrow.

It is due to take part in the official reopening celebrations of the Settle-Carlisle line following its closure for more than 12 months.

The heritage locomotive will leave Oxenhope Station on the K&WVR and travel via Haworth, Keighley and Skipton to Carlisle.

It will then be based at Ingrow West Station on Saturday and Sunday, before hauling passenger trains between Keighley and Oxenhope each day between Monday and April 9 inclusive.

The Keighley News will be carrying words and pictures online and in our April 6 edition, but we are also appealing to anyone travelling on the services, from tomorrow onwards, to send us their photos of this historic occasion for possible publication.

Please e-mail images as jpeg attachments to keighley.editorial@keighleynews.co.uk including your full name, address and daytime telephone number, in case we need to contact you.
