PEOPLE taking medication are being encouraged to plan for the bank holiday.
Clinical commissioning groups in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven have issued a reminder that GP practices will be closed on Monday, August 28.
"If you are taking regular medicines make sure you have enough to last," said Dr Dave Tatham, for the CCGs.
"It is important to order any repeat prescriptions needed.
"A well-stocked medicine cupboard is essential, especially over holiday times. Having home remedies to hand means peace of mind."
He said people needing advice on medicines and minor ailments can call at a pharmacy, without an appointment.
Advice is also available on the NHS Choices website, nhs.uk, and medical help in non-emergency situations can be obtained by calling 111.
People are urged only to visit an A&E department or dial 999 if the matter is critical or life-threatening.
