FOUR Keighley men have conquered the national Three Peaks to raise money for Manorlands.

Friends John Gunning, Nick Twigg, Jamie Middleton and James Marshall together coined-in over £3,000 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

They scaled Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike as part of a 24-hour challenge.

Mr Gunning said: "We wanted to do the challenge to support a local cause and Manorlands is a great hospice which has helped so many people over the years.

"We're really pleased to be able to make this donation and want to say a massive thank-you to everyone who sponsored and supported us."

Through sponsorship and an online fundraising page, £3,022 was raised.

Hayley Ibbotson, senior community fundraiser at Manorlands, said: "This is a fantastic amount and is hugely appreciated by our patients and their families, who are able to benefit from our care because of the contribution given to us.

"Without donations like this, we simply wouldn't be able to provide that care.

"Conquering three peaks is no mean feat so I hope the team is very proud."
