AN annual coffee day has served-up a record amount for Manorlands.

The event, at the Haworth home of Kath Neal, raised £4,004.

Since the coffee day was first held 25 years ago, it has now coined-in over £50,000 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

Kath said: "I'd like to thank everyone who helps, donates and attends the coffee day each year, supporting us to make this contribution to Manorlands.

"We are so grateful for people's generosity – it really is very much appreciated."

She is praised by Manorlands senior fundraiser, Hayley Ibbotson.

"Kath and her family have really cracked the recipe for success with the coffee day as it goes from strength to strength each year," she said.

"She is a shining example of just what can be achieved with the help of friends and family and Manorlands is very lucky to have her ongoing support, enabling us to continue caring for patients and families who really need us.

"To raise £50,000 is just phenomenal and it's thanks to people like Kath that we have been able to support so many families over the years. The Neals should be incredibly proud of their achievements."

Kath has also coined-in £400 through selling Christmas cards.

And husband Andrew has added to the kitty, raising £760 after requesting donations instead of presents for his 60th birthday. He thanks everyone who contributed.
