A HOUSEHOLD accessory-loving thief made off with a lampshade from an Oxenhope pub.
The bizarre theft was revealed during a police update delivered at the latest meeting of Oxenhope Parish Council.
Police Community Support Officer Mike Anderson, outlining crimes reported in the parish over the previous month, said they included a theft where someone went into the Dog and Gun Pub, in Denholme Road, and grabbed a lampshade.
PCSO Anderson said other offences in Oxenhope during the same period included an attempted burglary, and an assault.
