KEIGHLEY-district organisations planning nature-themed events could see their activities form part of a festival.

The annual Flowers of the Dales Festival, starting in the spring, in 2018 celebrates its 10th anniversary.

And organiser the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust is offering to encompass events happening throughout the surrounding areas, including Keighley.

The festival – which is supported by the People's Postcode Lottery – brings together more than 100 events celebrating the landscape, flora and fauna of the Dales.

Activities include guided walks, talks and arts and crafts sessions.

Details are included for free in a programme, published in print and online.

Flowers of the Dales project officer, Leah Galloway, said: "The festival has proved to be a really effective way to help promote events to a wide audience and boost attendance.

"Anyone who would like to be part of it in this anniversary year should get in touch with their event details."

The deadline to be considered for inclusion is Monday, January 8. Contact info@ydmt.org or 01524 251002.
