CHRISTMAS may now be a distant memory for many.

But Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands is still benefitting from festive fundraising, with donations from seasonal lights displays continuing to come in.

The latest contribution is from Susan and John Lohan, who decorated the outside of their Oakworth Road, Keighley, home and coined-in £521 – more than double the amount raised with their inaugural display the previous year.

Manorlands senior fundraiser, Hayley Ibbotson, said: "We're so grateful for all the time, effort and electricity that went into this fantastic Christmas display!

"Not only did it bring a smile to the faces of everyone who visited or drove past, but it raised vital funds so those who need hospice care and support can continue to benefit from our help.

"I'd like to thank Susan and John for thinking of the hospice to benefit from their efforts and to everyone who visited the lights and donated to make it such a success."

The couple are already planning to repeat their display next Christmas, and have an official switch-on ceremony.
