HOME-shopping giant Damart raised more than £37,000 for charity last year, the company has revealed.
The firm, whose warehousing facility is at Steeton, coined-in the cash for its three main charity partners – Breast Cancer Now, Heart Research UK and The Silver Line.
Much of the money came in through product-led initiatives. Profits from sales of limited-edition clothing were donated.
And staff fundraising activities included a Christmas lunch, Wear It Pink Day and sponsored walk.
Jo Phipps, employee engagement advisor at Damart, said: "Colleagues have shown such generosity and determination to raise money for the three charities throughout the year.
"These results bring an encouraging start to our fundraising for 2018."
Ben Phillips, the company's senior marketing manager, said staff were "thrilled" with the amount raised.
"We are very proud to support these fantastic charities to help fund their vital work and we've plenty more fundraisers and products planned to support them this year," he added.
